Ask me anything   Submit   My love of classic and rare movies is almost overbearing. I adore The actresses, actor’s, writer’s and director’s who put them together. My favorite films span from silent era to the 70’s. Although I am a huge Meryl Streep fan and The Hours might actually be my favorite all time film. That’s hard to say. I do however see many films of my era…but with the exception of a few, I don’t enjoy them as much. I have obsessions with actors and actresses due to my theatre background. One performance might catch my eye and then I haft to see everything they’ve done (Claudette Colbert, Greer Garson, Grayson Hall, Dame Judith Anderson, Deborah Kerr…and the list goes on) I love finding inspirational performances. Performances that make me want to get up there and do my thing (Thankyou Grayson Hall and Katharine Hepburn…) I will also talk a lot about my favorite tv shows (Dark Shadows and I don’t mean the crappy reboot from the 90’s)…I love Dr. Julia Hoffman even if it’s just a quote or a fun picture. I am no real critic, although entitled to my own opinion. Im also a crappy writer…but that’s not stopping me ;)

#63…Sleeper (1973)

I Love Woody Allen movies and this is a good one! My favorites are still Manhattan Murder Mystery and Annie Hall. I still have quite a few more to see…

Allen is a health food store owner who is frozen and thawed over a hundred and something years later. The health nut is shocked to find out everything that was thought to be bad for you IS ACTUALLY good for you…and sooo on. The robot servant bit cracks me up.

That never gets old…

LOL! Anyway…he is unfrozen by anti government radicals to help and assist overthrowing an oppressive govt.

The confessional robots and orgasm booths steal the film :p

#64…Highway Dragnet (1954)

Richard Conte is just back from the war and runs into trouble due to a drunk woman at the bar he goes to…TRAMP…doesn’t he know better…they always wind up dead in the movies…

Well of course he is accused and takes of running…He is picked up by a couple of lovely women traveling to a hotel for a photo shoot (ONLY IN THE MOVIES).

Is Richard the strap killer who murdered the woman? Watch and find out. Good fast paced little flick.

Joan Bennett is in it to…that makes it good enough for me!

Another pic…just because she is to cool AND she was a Dark Shadows star…hellz yea!

#65…Duel in the Sun (1946)

I always held off on watching this and I have no idea why…Spectacular cast! Sexy western…

Jennifer Jones is the leading lady…part white/part Indian…much to Lionel Barrymore’s dislike…he’s a mean old man in this movie anyhow (BUT one of my favorites :)

Gregory Peck is another favorite but that’s not without saying he’s a real douche bag in this movie and one fine actor indeedy! So handsome *Drools*

Lillian Gish is the one who brings orphan girl Jones in…I just love her. Especially as the kick as lady in Night of the Hunter! You go girl!

Lionel Barrymore rocks my sox!

The Love triangle…Gregory Peck, Jennifer Jones, Joseph Cotten!

#66…Walk a Crooked Mile (1948)

Not to bad. Typical detective/Spy story with a voice over… Louis Hayward and Dennis O’Keefe team up to stop a spy ring. They already fear that to much information had been leaked to the communists…Not to bad…can’t find any more pics for this film.

#67…End of Watch (2012)

Went to the movies recently and saw this…I didn’t really get it at first and I thought if they said Fuck one more time I was just going to start laughing…the word doesn’t bother me but HOLY FUCK they say fuck a lot…

This is definitely the BRO-mance of the year peeps and a very good film after all. Definitely true. These two cracked me up and yet everything still felt so real…Glad I saw it!

#68…The Big Knife (1955)

GOOOOOOD MOVIE alllll the way around. Marvelous acting…surely some of the best of 1955…

I’ve seen it a couple times and it’s always just as good. Jack Palance is a movie star married to Ida Lupino…Their marriage relies on a contract…Neither want him to sign but Hollywood has dirt on him AND THEY WILL MAKE HIM SIGN…no matter what the consequences are…MURDER even…

Shelly Winters is in this as well as a washed up actress who never made it very far…I just love Shelly but does she always haft to die…surely a record.

Another Pic with Jack and the lovely Ida Lupino…

#69…End of the Road (1970)

Well this is one fucked up trippy movie…But I knew that before I watched it. Im a movie lover so I give all a chance…but mostly this one because Grayson Hall has a small yet oh so memorable scene…

I think I need to give it another watch…not sure if I missed out on some of the meaning the director attempted or if he just made a huge mistake…curse the bastard for not filming Grayson’s other scenes too…idiot!

James Earl Jones plays one freaky therapist to be sure…

NOOOOOWWWWW COME ON!!!!!!! YOU CAN’T TELL ME THAT BARNABAS COLLINS DIDN’T WANT SOME OF THAT…I just can’t get over that…damned dark Shadows writers….grrr…Kk i’ll get over it…for 5 minutes.

#70…Crazy Heart (2009)

Watched this for Jeff Bridges Academy Award winning performance FINALLY…Good flick with a fabulous song that gives me goosebumps…although I could have done without the puke scene…Just can’t handle that…that goes for End of he Road tooo….Makes me gag.

#71…Hotel Transylvania (2012)

Went and saw this for the hell of it…cute but could have been funnier.

Catch ya’s laterz!
